C-MOM CHALLENGE FOR THE MONTH OF JUNE 2012

Hi Friends... 

     This month  C-MOM challenge is very much exited for me... I made different flowers... and i'm very much happy about the flowers. I think i cant stop crocheting the flowers :)

     

     Even this month nobody participated except me... But I'm sure many will participate in future.... And if your friends are interested in crocheting or like to learn crochet tell them about this challenge so that they can learn and have fun

     
     Any how  i had lot of fun making new flowers... Still i have few designs to post.... But This  is month end... right?  so its time to post the challenge for the month of May..... Here is the challenge.....


      C-MOM challenge for the month of MAY 2012 is HEXAGONS. I know this is an interesting topic to do.... try to do different types of HEXAGON MOTIFS.... the next challenge will be announced in the last week of June.

ABOUT C-MOM CHALLENGE:
     In this challenge every month end i will post a topic. We should crochet minimum 5 different motif designs in the given topic. 
    This is open to all, any one who is interested in learning and experimenting crochet can join in C-MOM. I hope the C-MOM will lead us to learn lot of fun in creating new designs.

RULES:

1. One should do minimum of 5 different motifs in the given topic and maximum is countless (There is plenty of time so that even busy people can take part without any tension)
2. Please do not post other's work as yours. Yes of course you can learn from tutorials but do not copy other's photographs and respect copy rights. 
3. post your works within the month end date.

That's all about the rules....

REQUEST:

1. Make your motifs, take the photographs and post it on your blog or flicker or picasa or any other site and comment on this page with your full link (i.e web address), so that i will put your link in  PARTICIPANTS LIST that will help people to visit your site

CROCHET - MOTIF OF THE MONTH (C-MOM) - FLOWERS

Hello friends here are the flowers i made for this month C-MOM. I know its too late... but i'm trying to learn as many flowers i can..... here are some flowers some from tutorials and few are my own pattern.... get a look on it... do comment on my work so that i can improve....

Hello friends.... 
     I took long time to publish my post..... I cannot do any of my crochet or other works this month as there are few funerals, functions and my sister came to my home with her two kids one 3 year boy and another one 7 months old baby girl .... i think you can understand how busy the home .... but i enjoyed spending time with them..... and i miss them a lot..... 


    So here is my another mehendi design..... and now  I'm busy in crocheting flowers for my C-MOM challenge. So in my next post you can see some crochet flowers.....

This is my third post for C-MOM challenge..... After learning few types of squares,  i made some of my own patterns.... you can see it below... except the pineapple square is inspired from here but... i don't know :( weather i cant understand or really there is problem with that pattern at last i made with the help of the picture... Here is my continuation post for C-MOM Challenge. I've tried some interesting patterns which i learned from the net..... look out the pictures of  the squares.... 


This pattern i got from a free crochet afgan calender from freepatterns.com

This is my own pattern.... I'm happy when i tried this pattern.... there are some small corrections... after that i'll post the written pattern

The center is not blue its violet color....  some times original colors are not caught in the cam..... what to do  especially

Without any challenge life is boring right.... So here is my first post on C-MOM. If not aware of this challenge check this. This month challenge is square, so i started trying different types of squares.... here are the first two squares.... many more yet to come...

MEHENDI

Whenever i start drawing mehendi the first and foremost design comes to my mind is Mango or paisley design... So this time I tried to draw mehendi without the mango design.... how it looks????

GARDENING - PREPARING PANCHAGAVYA PART 2

Hello friends.....
     Here is the continuation of Panchagavya preparation. Sorry the post was delayed. And for the people who did not see the previous post here is the panchagavya preparation part 1 

On the fifth day 

We took the cow-dung gee mix and added 2 liters of milk, 2 liters of curd and 5 liters of Cow's urine and mixed well with a bamboo stick first then by hand.

Fresh milk and sorry i could not capture the picture of cow's urine as my cam  had no charge

Took 2 kg of jaggery and broke it into pieces with hammer.

Then in a large vessel took the tender coconut water and smashed the banana in this. 

Then added the jaggery too in this mixture and mixed well These provides nutrient to the microbes and enhance the growth. Then added the above mix in the cow dung gee mix.


At last added 2 teaspoon full of dry yeast. again enhances the growth.

 All the ingredients are added now and stirred thoroughly for at-least 15 minutes.  

Then stir the panghagavya every day in morning and evening minimum 50 times clock wise and 50 times anti-clock wise for proper aeration. that will enhance the growth of microbes.

stirring process twice daily 

On 16th day panchagavya is ready to use. We can take 20 to 30 ml of panchagavya and mix with 1 liter of water and apply to soil or can spray on leaves... but before spraying should filter the mixture.

Now Our plants are eagerly waiting for their nutrient rich food.

GARDENING - PREPARING PANCHAGAVYA - PART-1

     To day i'm very happy that i'm a step ahead in my gardening.... i want my garden with healthier plants organically.... when i searched about this... i got the excellent  Indian remedy PANCHAGAVYAM.... Which is prepared from five materials that we get from the cow... This one is proved to be very much effective for agriculture.. please do google it to know more about this. 


     Me and my neighbour want to buy if it is available in ready... but we did not get in our place... so we decided to prepare our-self with the help of this video.... from now i'll post how we prepare the panchagavya 

THINGS NEEDED:

FOR THE FIRST DAY WE NEED:

COW DUNG - 5 KG

COW'S GEE - 1/2 KG

ON FIFTH DAY WE NEED:

COW'S MILK - 2 L

COW'S URINE - 5 L

CURD - 2 L

YEAST - 2 TEASPOON

TENDER COCONUT - 2 L

BANANA - 1/2 KG

JAGERRY - 2 KG

STEP - 1

Took 5 kg of cow's dung and mixed with cow's gee thoroughly 

Then kept in a bucket closed with a cloth

Let this mixture be away from the sun in shadow for 4 days 


If you want to prepare in small amount  here is the measurement:

FOR THE FIRST DAY WE NEED:


COW DUNG - 1 KG
COW'S GEE - 100 gm


ON FIFTH DAY WE NEED:


COW'S MILK - 400 ml
COW'S URINE - 1 l
CURD - 400 ml
YEAST - 1/2 TEASPOON
TENDER COCONUT - 400 ml
BANANA - 100 gm
JAGERRY - 400 gm

important:
We should not use the Buffalo's products... only cow.

I Wish this challenge to travel a long way... Just yesterday this idea came in to my mind when i saw this blog. Thanks to her. But i want to make more simple so i started this C-MOM. I need all your  wishes.

BABY DRESS FOR THE CUTE GIRL.....

hello dear ones... here is my another post... that gave me more happiness 


    yesterday is my sister's son Boghit's birthday.... so i decided to send a gift.. i bought a doll (building blocks) to him.... but there is a cute little angel maroona 5 months old... i want to give something to her too... so decided to stitch a dress to her.... with this idea i googled.... here i got the beautiful pdf pattern... i just extended another 1/2 " and stitched this

I stitched this with my blouse bit one is full and another is a left over one
I did not add piping... as i sewed this in a hurry....

I know this is not perfect one but..... I've done this in very little time... i've used straight, back , buttonhole and french knots

Still there were some leftover bits.... So i tried another one.... by altering  the pattern and added the lace with the glittery button.. this lace is from a rubber band i bought when i was studying 6th or 7th .... i saved this for these many years... but i like this helped here.... :)

This became a mess..... with stem stitch in times it became back stitch too.... :(

I'm happy that Boghit liked this dress and he called it as rabbit dress.... asked to wear the rabbit dress first.... and very very happy that courier went in time...
