Detached chain woven stitch for TAST

Hi...
I think all of you enjoyed your week end..... And... after a very long time i took the embroidery needle in my hand and tried woven chain stitch for TAST for the first time. But pintangle page is not opening now... but uploaded my pics in stitch n fingers

http://pintangle.com/tag/woven-chain-stitch/

First i tried with anchor cotton embroidery but didn't came well so i tried again with the cone thread.... i can work easily with cone thread than cotton thread..... I'm not happy about the outcome but i'm happy that this is the first time i've participated in TAST... i'll wish to continue in participating so that i can be in touch with embroidery too :)

Pineapple doily

Hello friends...
This time I'm again with the same pineapple doily pattern. But I made small changes in the pattern. The look is not same when making doily using cotton thread an with the woolen thread with same pattern. the doily with cotton thread will be perfect but with wool there comes the ruffels.

So i reduced the in between regular chain gaps i.e if the pattren is 3dc 5ch3dc 5ch 3dc.... i reduced them into 3dc 3ch 3dc 3ch 3dc. This time my doily came with perfect shape. See the difference in the picture. So wnere ever you feel there is difference in shape reduce the chain gaps.....

This is the new one without ruffels

This is the first one with ruffels

CROCHET DRAW STRING PURSE

Hello friends.....
Here are some draw string purses which i made when i was in hospital with my athai [mom-in-law]. Actually i started doing this for Doctor's grandma... She often forget to take medicines in time. So i said i will do a draw string purse which she can keep the medicines all the time in her hip. She happily accepted. After seeing one purse doctor herself asked for some more string purses.Of course they brought it with a good pay. Here are the pictures. Actually its very simple we can do it with in an hour. I'll try to put the pattern soon.

I think you liked these purses...
will see you in my next post.....
take care

MY MOTHER-IN-LAW

Hello my dear friends,
Once again i left a long gap in blogging. The reason is not a good one. I lost my loving  Mother-in-law on Feb 7th.

I already told you that she suffered from breast cancer. She too showed lot of improvement... but unexpectedly she died in a second... ohhhh can't forget those moments. She took extreme care for others but failed to take care of herself. She hided her small lump in the chest until she realized more pain... but in the mean time it became malignant tumor that went up to lymph.
She thought not to disturb her children but made a greatest mistake that could never be corrected. The lesson we learnt from her and all of us should learn is
  1. Please do not hide any thing from your loved ones about your health issues
  2. after 35 - 40 years do regular body check up especially women for breast and uterus cancer and men for prostrate cancer .. because they are very common... but check immediately if there are any differences in your health issues.
  3. Do have basic knowledge about cancer for the sake of prevention.
"PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE"
We realize 100% at this time.... We miss her each and every minute. The place of her became empty that can never filled. This is really a hard time for all of us to get back into our routine... We believe time will take care of the rest..... And i think here after i will be regular in my blogging activities
